The Gold Coast Suns have concluded an investigation into players Mac Andrew and Jamarra Ugle-Hagan following the emergence of a viral video. The footage shows the two teammates leaving a disabled toilet together at Suncorp Stadium during the recent State of Origin event, while a queue of people waited to use the facilities.

The club confirmed on Tuesday morning that they had investigated the incident after the video gained traction online and was shared through various group chats. In a statement to Seven, the Suns indicated that while they have spoken with both players, who deny any insinuation of misconduct, their investigation found no indication of wrongdoing.

Andrew, who has had a breakout season for the Suns in defense, collected 15 disposals and six marks in the team's recent 79-point loss. This incident marks not the first time Andrew has faced scrutiny this season; he previously received criticism for making an obscene gesture towards opposition fans during a game on July 4, though he was not sanctioned by the AFL.

Ugle-Hagan has had a more challenging season, playing only three AFL games and potentially jeopardizing a contract automatic renewal mechanism. Despite this, the club is reportedly in talks with the player for a contract extension, indicating their continued support.
