Malik Nabers, who finished with five catches for 26 yards, was the Giants' most productive wide receiver, narrowly outgaining Darnell Mooney and Malachi Fields. Coaching decisions also played a role in the outcome. With 41 seconds left in the first half and trailing 6-0, Titans head coach Robert Saleh opted for a 59-yard field goal attempt by Joey Slye. While Slye had the distance in pregame warmups, the attempt was a low-percentage play. Slye missed wide left, giving the Giants possession on their own 49-yard line. This misstep allowed the Giants to drive for two first downs and set up a 39-yard field goal as time expired, extending their lead to 9-0 instead of trailing by a single score.
