San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle has shown significant progress in his recovery from a torn Achilles tendon, an injury he sustained in January. A recent video captured Kittle working out with strength and conditioning coach Josh Cuthbert, where he deadlifted 665 pounds.

The workout footage suggests Kittle is ahead of the typical recovery timeline for such an injury. The average recovery for professional athletes from a torn Achilles is between nine and 12 months. Kittle himself has stated his goal is to be healthy by the start of the upcoming season, potentially for the 49ers' Week 1 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams on September 10.

Kittle has a history of battling injuries throughout his career, including issues with his knee, hamstring, ankle, and groin. Last season, he participated in 11 games, recording 57 receptions for 628 yards and seven touchdowns.

Kittle is not the only key 49ers player on the mend. The team is also anticipating the return of 2022 NFL Defensive Player of the Year, Nick Bosa, who is recovering from a torn ACL. Bosa has also reportedly been ahead of schedule in his rehabilitation and expressed optimism about returning by Week 1.
