Quarterback Geno Smith demonstrated significant rapport with his primary receivers, Garrett Wilson and Adonai Mitchell, during the New York Jets' final training camp practice of the summer. Smith connected with each receiver five times, including a notable deep pass to Mitchell down the left sideline.

Tight end Mason Taylor also made a significant play, catching a long pass from Smith over safety Minkah Fitzpatrick during 7-on-7 drills. Taylor's performance is particularly noteworthy given the uncertainty surrounding another player.

The practice also highlighted ongoing injury concerns for the Jets. Rookies D’Angelo Ponds and Kenyon Sadiq remained sidelined, working with trainers. Ponds, a top draft pick, sustained a calf injury during the first practice of the summer. Sadiq was sidelined after a setback from a spring hernia operation, following three practices.

Running backs Breece Hall and Isaiah Davis were also among the players who remained out and worked off to the side.
