The assault case involving New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith has been declared inactive by Davie police, according to a report.
Police announced on Tuesday that no charges will be brought against the signal caller following an investigation into viral footage that appeared to show Smith arguing with a woman outside a mansion in Davie, Florida. The video, which emerged on social media last month, captured Smith, shirtless, saying, "she just called the police."
Future investigative action is reportedly contingent on additional information or evidence being presented.
