Fury-Joshua Fight Tickets Sell Out Within an Hour
Demand for the highly anticipated boxing match at Cardiff's Principality Stadium led to tickets being snapped up within 60 minutes.
Tickets for the heavyweight boxing match between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua at Cardiff's Principality Stadium have sold out in just one hour. The event, scheduled to begin on December 11 with the fight expected in the early hours of December 12, saw approximately 80,000 tickets go on sale Friday at noon BST.
During the sale, over 500,000 individuals were reportedly in the online queue within minutes of the tickets becoming available. Prices ranged from £88.50 for the lowest-priced tickets to £13,128 for the highest-priced seats, including booking fees.
Shortly after the initial sale, tickets began appearing on resale websites. Some ringside VIP seats were advertised for as much as £73,645, while upper-tier seats were listed for £425.
The bout, billed as an all-British heavyweight contest, was announced in September and will be broadcast globally on Netflix. Organizers have not yet confirmed any undercard fights. The event is being promoted as a collaboration between Saudi boxing figure Turki Alalshikh's The Ring and UFC chief Dana White.
Ringwalks are anticipated to commence around 1:00 AM GMT on Saturday, December 12, following a brief live music performance. The stadium is scheduled to remain open until 3:30 AM GMT.
