Fox World Cup host Rebecca Lowe has stated that there are no tensions between analysts Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Alexi Lalas, despite several tense exchanges observed during the tournament broadcasts. Lowe, who also works with Thierry Henry on the panel, dismissed reports of unrest as a source of amusement for the broadcast team.

"These stories do make me laugh and we do laugh about them," Lowe told talkSPORT. "We're like, 'another one'? And it is getting a little out of hand."

Ibrahimovic has reportedly shown impatience with Lalas on multiple occasions. During one broadcast, Ibrahimovic called Lalas "the past" and abruptly dismissed his commentary on France's performance against Senegal. When Lalas left the studio to report from the stadium, Ibrahimovic remarked, "You're welcome, America."

Footage also circulated of an incident in the studio where Henry appeared to trick Lalas during a playful soccer demonstration. Lalas has also fired back, humorously remarking to Ibrahimovic that his cream suit resembled that of a presenter from the 1970s show 'Fantasy Island.'

Despite these exchanges, Lowe insists that the analysts maintain a strong mutual respect off-camera. "There is nothing, there is no tension, nothing! We are laughing our heads off at all of this," she added. "Everybody respects everybody hugely. If people want to watch and listen to what the guys say to each other and work off each other, they would see that."

Lowe described the narrative of on-air conflict as "crazy" and stated that it simply does not exist from her perspective within the broadcast booth. However, a source close to the broadcaster, speaking to the Daily Mail, presented a different account, suggesting that a cold atmosphere has prevailed between the analysts. This source also indicated that while animosity may exist between Lalas and Ibrahimovic, they are aware that their on-air clashes generate compelling television.

Potential for renewed tension arises as the United States is set to face Bosnia and Herzegovina. Lalas previously played for the United States, while Ibrahimovic's father is Bosnian, a fact that reportedly moved the striker earlier in the tournament when the team advanced to the knockout rounds. The match is scheduled to be held at the San Francisco Bay stadium.
