Former Miss Germany to Make Professional Boxing Debut at 33

Tatjana Genrich, who was crowned Miss Germany in 2022, is set to make her professional boxing debut next month at the age of 33. The former beauty queen has rekindled a childhood passion for the sport, which she originally pursued for self-defense.

Genrich was the Saxony-Anhalt state champion in the flyweight division for amateur boxers from 2007 to 2009. She recently shared that her initial interest in boxing stemmed from being bullied at school. This led her to attend a sports school in Halle, Germany, where she was noticed by boxing promoter Ulf Steinforth. Years later, after Genrich achieved fame as a model, Steinforth reconnected with her and proposed a return to the professional boxing ranks.

"Since I sponsor the ring girls at his boxing events, he approached me one day and asked if I wouldn't like to get back in the ring," Genrich stated. "I finally agreed and am now about to make my professional debut."

Promoter SES Boxing believes Genrich has the potential to become a significant star in the sport, drawing parallels to the successful career of Regina Halmich. Halmich, a highly accomplished female boxer, also engaged in modeling during her career.

Genrich, who also manages her own modeling agency with 80 models under contract, is undergoing rigorous training five days a week in preparation for her first professional fight on November 14. Her corner will be manned by coach Dirk Dzemski, who previously guided Robert Stieglitz to world championship status.

Tatjana Genrich, a former Miss Germany, is also a model and runs her own agency.

She aims to inspire young women to pursue success in both their professional careers and sports. "I want to be a role model for young women and show them that you can be successful in both your career and sports," Genrich said. Her training regimen includes elements of posture, running, and choreography, preparing her for both athletic competitions and fashion events.
