Former Miss Germany Tatjana Genrich Set for Professional Boxing Debut

Tatjana Genrich, crowned Miss Germany in 2022, is stepping into the professional boxing ring next month for her debut match. The 33-year-old model and former beauty queen was an accomplished amateur boxer before her pageant career.

Genrich was the flyweight state champion in Germany for three consecutive years from 2007 to 2009. She stated that her interest in boxing began at a young age as a way to cope with being bullied in school.

"I became enthusiastic about the sport very early on. I was often bullied at school, and I wanted to fight back somehow. That's how it all started," Genrich said. She has been training five days a week in preparation for her upcoming fight.

Her return to boxing was facilitated after she began sponsoring ring girls for SES Boxing events. The promotion recognized her past boxing achievements and approached her about competing. She is scheduled to appear on the SES Boxing fight card on November 14.

Genrich is training under coach Dirk Dzemski, who previously worked with former WBO super-middleweight champion Robert Stieglitz. She expressed a desire to be a role model for young women, demonstrating that success can be achieved in both career and sports.

"I want to be a role model for young women and show them that you can be successful in both your career and sports," Genrich added. Her ultimate goal, according to German outlet Bild, is to become a world champion.

Artur Henrik and Krisztian Santa prepare for a middleweight boxing match in the ring.
