The summer transfer window, which remains open until September 1, is proving to be an active period for football clubs seeking new signings. Several significant deals and ongoing negotiations have emerged.
Morgan Rogers is reportedly scheduled for a medical at Chelsea, with his move from Aston Villa valued at approximately £117 million. This transfer could set a Premier League record for a sell-on fee, as Rogers' former club, Middlesbrough, is expected to receive around £20.2 million. Middlesbrough had included a 20 percent sell-on clause in the contract when they sold Rogers to Aston Villa for £16 million in February 2024.
