League Two side Fleetwood Town will face Everton or Newcastle United at home in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup after stunning Arsenal.
League Two side Fleetwood Town have been drawn at home to either Everton or Newcastle United in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup. The lowest-ranked team remaining in the competition secured their place in the last eight by defeating Premier League champions Arsenal on penalties.
Fleetwood will discover their opponent after the final fourth-round match between Everton and Newcastle, scheduled for Thursday. Holders Manchester City will host Bradford City, the only other non-Premier League club left, at the Etihad Stadium.
The remaining quarter-final ties will feature two all-Premier League matchups: Liverpool will host Bournemouth, and Crystal Palace will take on Sunderland at Selhurst Park. Liverpool also advanced to the quarter-finals via a penalty shootout, defeating Chelsea.
The quarter-final fixtures are scheduled to be played in the week commencing December 14.
