Fauthoux Emerges as Liberty's X-Factor Amidst Playoff Push

Marine Fauthoux is embracing her role as a potential "X-factor" for the New York Liberty, stating her commitment to winning "whatever it costs." The guard provided a much-needed energy boost late in the third quarter of Sunday's Game 1 of the semifinals against the Atlanta Dream, a game where the Liberty's offense struggled to find its rhythm.

From the bench, Fauthoux actively analyzed the game, offering encouragement and feedback to her teammates, including fellow countrywoman Pauline Astier. Her eagerness to contribute was evident as she awaited her opportunity to enter the game. When called upon, Fauthoux made an immediate impact, recording three assists and zero turnovers. Her elite court vision, composed playmaking, and ability to handle pressure under defensive duress proved valuable assets in the matchup against the Dream.
