Alexis Mac Allister's father has strongly denied reports suggesting a potential move for his son to Real Madrid.
Spanish media outlet Defensa Central had claimed that Mac Allister and his representatives had approached Real Madrid about a transfer. However, Carlos Mac Allister, speaking to 365scores, stated, "We have not spoken with any official at Real Madrid. What is being circulated about us holding talks with Real Madrid is not true."
Mac Allister recently concluded his World Cup campaign with Argentina, who reached the final before being defeated by Spain. He is expected to return to Liverpool for his upcoming Premier League season.
"Mac Allister is still under contract for two seasons at Liverpool, and currently he will get some rest for a few days, and then return to play in the Premier League, and that is the current situation," his father added.
Mac Allister joined Liverpool from Brighton in 2023. His father previously served as his spokesperson in April 2025 when similar transfer rumors involving Real Madrid emerged. At that time, Mac Allister had expressed openness to playing in Spain "one day" due to its similarities to his home country, but his father then stated, "Alexis is very happy where he is."
Real Madrid has been active in the transfer market this summer, securing deals for players such as Marc Cucurella from Chelsea, Bernardo Silva, and Denzel Dumfries. Liverpool teammate Ibrahima Konate also recently moved to Real Madrid as a free agent.
