A physical altercation involving a New England Patriots fan and several Seattle Seahawks fans broke out Wednesday night at Lumen Field in Seattle, according to eyewitness accounts and video footage. The incident occurred during the NFL game between the two teams.

Eyewitnesses on social media platform X, formerly Twitter, reported that the fight began when the Patriots fan allegedly occupied seats that were not his. One fan, identified as Hawkaholic12, stated on X that the Patriots fan and his companion were in someone else's seats. When asked to move by the rightful owner, the Patriots fan reportedly refused and escalated the situation by taunting and shoving the seat owner, and also pushing a senior citizen.

Another account from user JoeGurt corroborated this scenario, adding that stadium ushers initially asked the fan to relocate, which he refused. Security then intervened, and the situation escalated into a brawl involving multiple individuals when a Seahawks fan attempted to remove the Patriots fan from the section.

During the commotion, a claim was made by the female companion of the Patriots fan that a Seahawks fan used a racial slur. Video footage appears to show the woman in the midst of the altercation.

Following the fight, the Patriots fan was taken into custody by police and escorted out of the stadium in handcuffs. The specific details of any charges were not immediately available.
