Family of Wrestler PAC Releases Heartbreaking Statement Following His Death at 40

The family of British wrestler Benjamin Satterley, known to fans as PAC, has issued a heartfelt statement following his unexpected death at the age of 40. Satterley was discovered deceased less than 24 hours after competing in All Elite Wrestling's (AEW) All Out pay-per-view event in Chicago.

Authorities found Satterley slumped in his car outside a CAVA restaurant near Chicago O'Hare International Airport. Des Plaines Police have stated that there are no indications of foul play and that the circumstances surrounding his death are not considered suspicious. Further examinations are ongoing to determine the exact cause and manner of death.

During a special tribute episode of AEW Dynamite in Pittsburgh, broadcaster Renee Paquette read the statement from Satterley's grieving family, including his wife Natalie, mother Jillian, and father Stephen. They expressed devastation over the loss of their only child but conveyed gratitude for the outpouring of support received globally.

"Whilst he will always have a legacy as one of the greatest wrestlers the UK has ever produced, we have been so glad to see so many wonderful tributes that acknowledged who Ben was as a person," the statement read. "He exemplified what it means to be a decent human being and an honorable man with principles who adored his family and his sausage dog son Wolfie." The family also recalled Satterley's passions, including his love for his soccer team, Newcastle United, spending time with his parents, and enjoying nights out with his wife and friends. They acknowledged AEW president Tony Khan for providing a life-changing opportunity after Satterley's departure from WWE and for his assistance in navigating the aftermath of his death.

"Ben was so happy and proud to be part of this AEW family and be in an encouraging and caring environment he could feel at ease in," his family added. They extended thanks to Satterley's fans for their support over the years, stating, "We send you our love and have been moved to see so many people say so many wonderful things about his impact on their lives, whether great or small. We will love you forever Ben, and our lives will never be the same without you."

Satterley's passing follows the recent death of former AEW wrestler Andy Williams. Satterley had publicly mourned Williams' loss on social media just 10 days prior to his own death, sharing a photo of the two wrestlers and expressing his love and admiration for his fellow competitor. During a televised tribute on September 12, Satterley had said, "We always knew you were an anomaly too good for this world. I just want to say I love you, man. And you always made sure that I knew you loved me too. I'll miss you, my friend. 'Till we meet again."
