Medical staff cut off the rookie's jersey after he suffered an injury during a tackle against the Chicago Bears.
Atlanta Falcons linebacker Kendal Daniels was taken off the field on a stretcher during Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears after suffering an injury. Medical personnel cut off his jersey before he was removed from the field.
Daniels was injured in the third quarter while making a low tackle on Bears tight end Colston Loveland. After lowering his head to make the stop, Daniels appeared to grab at his facemask before rolling onto his chest. Emergency medical personnel quickly entered the field as concerned Falcons players signaled for assistance.
Daniels, a 23-year-old rookie from Oklahoma, was leading the Falcons with seven tackles at the time of his injury. As he was taken off the field, strapped into the stretcher, he appeared to move his right hand. Emotional teammates formed a circle around him as he was removed.
