Norwegian soccer player Erling Haaland has embraced aspects of American culture during his time in the United States, even after his team's World Cup run concluded. Haaland was recently observed shirtless, hitting golf balls off a boat into the water, while listening to the Ella Langley song "Choosin' Texas."
During his stay, Haaland expressed his enjoyment of the country and its people. "I like the Americans. I think they are kind of hilarious, as well. They are funny, so I like the way they are," he told reporters. He also commented on the positive experiences with the World Cup, noting the games, stadiums, and training facilities as "amazing."
Haaland's engagement with American culture included posting pictures with humorous filters and comparing himself to the character Shrek. He was also seen wearing a shirt with the phrase "Y’all can kiss my Dallas." Following a victory against Ivory Coast, Haaland visited Wild Bill’s Western Store in Dallas, where he purchased four Stetson hats and a pair of snake-skinned cowboy boots. Upon entering the store, he greeted staff by saying, "Hello y’all" and remarked that "Dallas is amazing. I’m coming back here. The people are so positive – they’re just enjoying life."
