Footage has emerged showing two England youth players engaged in a physical altercation during an international camp, while other teammates filmed the incident and offered encouragement. The fight reportedly began after one player was teased for possessing a Nokia mobile phone.
The video depicts one player as the aggressor, grabbing and pushing the other onto a hotel bed with his hand around his neck. Teammates are heard urging him to "f*** him up." The altercation escalated to punches before the other player kicked him off the bed, and the fight continued on the floor, with one player putting the other in a headlock against a wall.
Throughout the incident, the players were wearing their England kits. The fight concluded after a player was heard screaming and the aggressor eventually let up, only to be told to "carry on, man." He then pushed the other player onto the bed and was again told to "f*** him up."
Teammates in the background were heard telling others to "shut the door" multiple times, then moved aside and laughed as the brawl persisted. The incident has raised concerns regarding the safeguarding of young players during England duty.
The Football Association (FA) confirmed awareness of the situation. "We were made aware of an internal matter during an MU16s camp in October 2025," an FA spokesperson told Daily Mail Sport. "This was quickly resolved at the time."
Daily Mail Sport has also reached out to the clubs of the involved players but had not received a response. Mobile phones are often viewed as a source of distraction and a potential risk to mental health in both educational and athletic settings. Some football managers have implemented bans on mobile phones to enhance player focus.
