Emma Raducanu intends to play at Wimbledon this week, despite an ongoing leg injury that had cast doubt on her participation. The British tennis player, seeded 30th for the tournament, confirmed her plans after a practice session at the All England Club on Sunday.

Raducanu is scheduled to begin her Wimbledon campaign against Antonia Ruzic of Croatia on Court One on Monday at 1 p.m. BST. Her fitness had been a growing concern over the past week.

Earlier in the week, Raducanu was seen wearing a protective boot, and she was unable to train on Thursday and Friday due to what is believed to be a shin problem. On Saturday, she returned to the court for a fitness assessment, undertaking an hour-long session with her team while wearing strapping on her lower right leg.

However, a subsequent practice session with Russia's Anna Kalinskaya was cut short by 10 minutes when they played a practice set, further fueling concerns about her readiness for the Grand Slam event.
