The Philadelphia Eagles' social media team has drawn criticism for posting a video of a training camp interception made by quarterback Jalen Hurts.

The clip, which quickly gained traction online, showed Hurts throwing a pass intended for newly acquired wide receiver Hollywood Brown across the middle of the field, only for cornerback Quinyon Mitchell to intercept the ball. The Eagles' post hinted at Mitchell's name with the caption "Right on Q."

Critics argued that the decision to share the footage was a poor one, potentially fueling existing speculation about Hurts's performance and his ability to utilize the middle of the field. Former oddsmaker Todd Fuhrman commented on X, "Putting your starting QB on blast when there are already rumblings he [can't] use the middle of the field is a choice."

Fans also voiced their displeasure, with many expressing concern that the team's official account was undermining its leader. Comments included remarks like "The only thing this shows is a HORRIBLE pass and decision by Hurts" and "Praising your CBs' performance by roasting your QB? One of the most silly posts by team official accounts."

Some fans offered lighthearted takes, such as "Eagles flexing that interception like 'we can only go up from here.'"

Last season, Hurts completed the year with 3,224 passing yards, ranking 16th in the NFL, and threw six interceptions. His connection with wide receiver A.J. Brown, who has since been traded to New England, was a frequent topic of discussion. The Eagles have since added rookie Makai Lemon and former Green Bay Packers wideout Dontayvion Wicks to their receiving corps.
