Dodgers Reportedly Tap Tarik Skubal as NLDS Game 1 Starter
The newly acquired left-hander is expected to take the mound against the Atlanta Braves.

The Los Angeles Dodgers have reportedly decided to start pitcher Tarik Skubal in Game 1 of the National League Division Series (NLDS) against the Atlanta Braves. The contest is scheduled for Saturday at Dodgers Stadium.
Skubal, acquired in a midseason trade from Detroit, initially faced challenges in his early starts with the Dodgers but has since regained his previous form. He finished the regular season with a 2-3 record and a 2.52 earned run average over eight starts for Los Angeles. The team is expected to rely heavily on the left-hander during the postseason.
His outing in Game 1 could set up Yoshinobu Yamamoto or Blake Snell to start Game 2 for the Dodgers. Los Angeles, with a 93-60 record, is making its 14th consecutive postseason appearance, matching the Atlanta Braves' record streak from 1991 to 2005.
The Braves' starting pitcher for Game 1 remains undecided. While Chris Sale is a likely candidate, he pitched in both Game 2 and Game 3 of their wild-card series against the Philadelphia Phillies.
