Dodgers Fans Fight Each Other After NLDS Game 3 Loss
Video captures an altercation between fans following the Los Angeles Dodgers' defeat to the Milwaukee Brewers.
Frustrated Los Angeles Dodgers fans were captured on video engaging in a physical altercation following the team's 6-2 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers in Game 3 of the NLDS. The incident occurred after the game on Wednesday night.
The video, shared on Instagram by user @dodgerdru, shows an escalation from a verbal dispute between two fans. One fan, restrained by a woman, appears to throw a punch that misses its intended target. This initial swing led to a wider confrontation.
Another fan, wearing a purple hat, then threw a significant punch at the same individual. Security intervened to apprehend the fan who threw the first punch, while the fan in the purple hat, who delivered the more forceful blow, was not immediately detained. Security personnel were seen escorting the fan who was involved in the initial altercation.
The fan who recorded the incident commented on the situation, stating, "This is what happens when we lose. We go against each other." The background of the video showed an empty stadium, suggesting the fight occurred after most spectators had left.
The video concluded shortly after the security intervention. The observer noted that the fan in the purple hat was complaining to security that the fan who had not thrown punches had initiated the conflict.
The altercation appears to be linked to the disappointment of the Dodgers' current 3-0 series deficit against the Brewers. The team faces elimination in Game 4 on Thursday.
