Dodgers Face Struggles Ahead of NLDS Game 3 Against Brewers
Despite a star-studded roster, the Los Angeles Dodgers are experiencing offensive difficulties as they prepare for their next playoff matchup.
The Los Angeles Dodgers are encountering significant offensive challenges as they head into Game 3 of the NLDS against the Milwaukee Brewers. Key players have underperformed in the postseason, raising concerns about the team's ability to advance.
Shohei Ohtani, despite playing, has not hit a home run since August 18 and is batting .150 in the playoffs. The team's overall offensive struggles are reflected in their collective .218 batting average. Mookie Betts is hitting .238, Freddie Freeman .227, Teoscar Hernández .217, and Max Muncy .211.
Pitching has also been a point of concern. Blake Snell gave up one run in Game 2 against the Braves but walked five batters in 3 2/3 innings. On the Brewers' side, Robert Gasser allowed seven runs over 10 2/3 innings against the Dodgers during the regular season.
Despite these issues, the publication is sticking with the Dodgers for Game 3, with a wager of $100 at -175 odds via BetMGM.
In other playoff news, Freddie Peralta pitched six shutout innings to lead the Rays to a 3-1 victory over the Guardians, evening their ALCS series.
