The Los Angeles Dodgers have acquired left-handed pitcher Kris Bubic from the Kansas City Royals in a trade, according to multiple sources with knowledge of the situation. The deal brings another left-handed arm to the Dodgers' pitching staff shortly after they acquired Tarik Skubal.

Bubic, 28, is currently on the 60-day injured list with an elbow injury. Over his seven-year career, he has pitched in 126 games, making 89 starts, and holds a 4.14 earned run average. He has had productive seasons, including 2024 where he posted a 2.67 ERA in 27 relief appearances, and 2025, when he earned his only All-Star selection. In that 2025 season, he went 8-7 with a 2.55 ERA in 20 starts.

In exchange for Bubic, the Dodgers are sending triple-A right-handed pitcher Carlos Duran to the Royals. The news of the trade was first reported by ESPN.
