Djokovic Wins 102nd Career Title; Alcaraz Claims Japan Open

Novak Djokovic captured his 102nd career title on Sunday, as Alex de Minaur retired injured during the final of the China Open. Djokovic's victory adds to his remarkable career achievements.

Meanwhile, Carlos Alcaraz also secured a significant win, claiming the Japan Open title. This marks his third trophy of the season and his third career title overall. Alcaraz defeated Jiri Lehecka of the Czech Republic 7-6 (7-4) 6-4 in the final, successfully defending his Beijing title.

This win is particularly meaningful for Alcaraz, who returned to competitive tennis in August at the U.S. Open after a wrist injury sustained in April. He reached the quarterfinals of that tournament before a five-set loss.

Alcaraz's earlier season victories include the Australian Open in January, which completed his career Grand Slam, and the Qatar Open in February. "It's extra special after my injury," the 25-year-old Spaniard stated after his win. "It was a tough week that I didn't find my best tennis, my best level, but I did find the good solutions. I think that's what matters in the end."
