Play-by-play announcer Dave Flemming has concluded his 16-year tenure with ESPN to dedicate more time to his family.

Flemming's departure came after calling Monday's Braves-Padres game, as reported by Awful Announcing. He initially joined ESPN in 2010 as a college basketball announcer and subsequently expanded his broadcasting duties.

Over his years with the network, Flemming covered a variety of sports, including college football on ABC and ESPN, golf majors, and Major League Baseball games across ESPN's platforms. He has also been a consistent presence in the Little League World Series coverage since 2013.

Beyond his ESPN commitments, Flemming serves as the radio voice for the San Francisco Giants on KNBR-AM and also calls select television games for the team. His experience extends to substitute announcing for the Warriors radio broadcasts and a six-year stint calling Stanford football.

Flemming's commentary has been recognized with three North California Emmys for his work with the Giants. Sports Business Journal also named him among the best of the new generation of baseball announcers in 2008.

More recently, Flemming joined NBC's "Sunday Leadoff Rotation" in May as a second play-by-play voice for games broadcast on NBC and Peacock. He has already called several games for the network, including an Angels-A's contest. It remains to be seen if he will take on a more regular role with NBC, which holds rights to college football, college basketball, and golf, all sports within Flemming's broadcasting experience.
