Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Davante Adams indicated that the team wished for more time to connect with fans in Melbourne, Australia, after arriving just one day before their game against the San Francisco 49ers. The Rams' decision to limit their pre-game stay has sparked debate regarding the optimal travel approach for international games.

Adams stated that while the team did what they could to interact with fans, the tight schedule prevented deeper engagement. "Obviously we would love to have the opportunity to connect with the fans out here a little bit more," Adams told reporters shortly after the team landed from a 16-hour flight from Los Angeles. "We did what we could, getting out there and interacting. I know Matthew [Stafford] had mentioned to it, getting out and trying some coffee and getting down the streets a little bit earlier."

The 49ers, in contrast, arrived in Australia a full week before the game, allowing their players more time to acclimate and engage with the local community. 49ers stars Christian McCaffrey and Nick Bosa have both commented positively on their experience and the hospitality received, with McCaffrey specifically praising the country's coffee.

While the Rams' strategy aimed to mitigate jet lag by arriving closer to game time, the 49ers prioritized player acclimatization to the new environment. The effectiveness of each team's approach will become clear during the match. The Rams and 49ers are scheduled to play at 10:35 a.m. local time, with the game streaming on Netflix at 5:35 p.m. PT on Thursday.
