Darcy Graham Returns for Edinburgh Rugby Against Toulon

Edinburgh Rugby has confirmed that Scotland and Edinburgh star Darcy Graham will return to play for the first time this season in Friday night's Challenge Cup clash with Toulon at Hive Stadium.

Graham, who had initially been ruled out for the remainder of the year with a bicep tear, has made a swift recovery. The injury was not as severe as first anticipated, and the Edinburgh medical team has cleared the player to play.

Head coach Sean Everitt has included the 29-year-old Graham in the squad for the match against the French club. This marks Graham's first start of the season, with Malelili Satala moving to left wing and full-back Piers O’Conor retaining his position.

Flanker Tom Currie will also be in the starting lineup. Scotland veteran Grant Gilchrist has been named as a replacement and could feature for the first time this campaign, also returning from injury.

"The energy around the squad this week has been great as we move into our first European match of the season," Everitt stated. "Toulon are a huge club, and with a big crowd expected we can’t wait to get stuck into the match in front of our home fans."

He added, "Toulon bring with them a huge pedigree in Europe and we know the challenge that will bring, but we’re excited to meet that challenge head on."

The EPCR Challenge Cup match between Edinburgh and Toulon is scheduled to kick off at 8 p.m. at Hive Stadium and will be broadcast live on Premier Sports.
