Danny Rohl has moved from Rangers to Red Bull Salzburg, stating his belief that he has made the correct career decision. Rohl, who recently led Sheffield Wednesday to survival in the Championship, described the achievement as a "miracle." He is now focused on his new role in Austria, where he aims to secure titles and foster the development of young players.

Salzburg has not won the Austrian Bundesliga in the past three seasons, breaking a streak of 10 consecutive titles. The club finished third last season. Rohl's coaching career began in Germany with RB Leipzig under Ralph Hassenhüttl, followed by a stint at Southampton. He emphasized the demanding nature of club environments and the pressure to make correct decisions.

"Consistency, this is the most important thing," Rohl said. "The environment is really demanding. Everyone who goes there, it doesn't matter if it's a manager, a player, a staff member, you have to understand this club is demanding and this creates a lot of pressure on people to make the right decisions."

Rohl views his move as a continuation of bold career choices. "This is the main part of my character, be brave. In the last three years I always pushed the limit," he stated. His primary objectives at Salzburg are to win titles and develop promising young players, referencing a history of successful youth development at the club. Players such as Karim Adeyemi, Erling Haaland, Sadio Mané, Dayot Upamecano, and Dominik Szoboszlai have all come through the Salzburg academy.

"I want to win titles, develop young players, be attractive and I want to bring Salzburg back into the light in Europe," Rohl added. He also noted the increasing competition from multi-club ownership models in the current football landscape.
