Dan Dakich, host of "Don't @ Me," has publicly criticized Big 12 Commissioner Brett Yormark following a contentious exchange at Big 12 media day. The incident involved Yormark's interaction with Texas Tech media personality Sean Dillon, during which Yormark instructed Dillon to "stand up" and ask his question again, stating, "I'm going to give you the answer I want to give you."

Dakich voiced his strong opposition to Yormark's demeanor, questioning the commissioner's authority and attitude towards members of the press. "These guys stand there like they're kings. Stand up! F--k you. I got a mic. I got a question," Dakich stated on his show. He further elaborated on his views, saying, "You ain't worth standing up. Don't answer the question. What are these guys? These guys are pasty white dudes that never played a sport in their life, politic their way through the athletic administration world. And now they're king? What? That is absolutely disgusting to me."

The exchange occurred when Dillon asked a multi-part question that touched on the Big 12's ban on tortilla tossing at Texas Tech games, Oklahoma State's paddle-slamming tradition, and the league's support for different schools, specifically referencing Cincinnati and quarterback Brendan Sorsby.

Dillon's question, which Yormark appeared to perceive as questioning the league's commitment to supporting all its schools, prompted the commissioner's sharp response. Dakich's rare siding with a member of the media against a commissioner has drawn attention.
