Dak Prescott Argues With Stadium Worker After Cowboys' Loss

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott engaged in a heated exchange with a stadium worker who heckled him after the team's home loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday night. The Cowboys suffered a surprising 24-16 defeat at AT&T Stadium, marking the Buccaneers' first win of the season.

As Prescott was walking toward the locker room, a stadium employee was overheard calling the team's performance "embarrassing." Prescott, hearing the remark, turned and confronted the worker, telling a Cowboys staffer, "Tough guy. Get his a** out of here."

According to Pro Football Talk, the individual was a driver hired by a third-party contractor.

Later, Prescott addressed the incident, stating, "When he said it I just happened to look at him, and at that point he looked away, didn't look, and when I turned my head back, he said something else. So that's the part that, just as a man or a person, feel free to speak your mind. Just speak it. Don't coward away from the reaction that you're going to get. If you're saying it's embarrassing, say it's embarrassing. If you're saying it to me, say it to me. Don't go back on it. That's all it was. I hate that it's even being talked about, to be honest with you."

Tensions were palpable during the game, with owner Jerry Jones visibly frustrated, seen slamming his hands on his table after Prescott threw a game-sealing interception. The Buccaneers secured their victory despite playing without starting quarterback Baker Mayfield, relying instead on rookie Jalon Daniels.

The Buccaneers' defense proved effective, forcing three turnovers and contributing to the Cowboys' offensive struggles. The decisive interception occurred on Dallas' final drive when Prescott's pass deflected off tight end Jake Ferguson and was caught by a Tampa Bay player.

Jones later expressed his "extraordinary disappointment" with the loss. The Cowboys' offense struggled throughout the evening, with key receivers CeeDee Lamb and Ferguson dropping multiple passes. Prescott finished the game with 316 passing yards and one touchdown, but also threw two interceptions.

The Buccaneers' Bucky Irving rushed for 165 yards and a touchdown, while Daniels completed 19 passes for 189 yards and a score. This defeat brings the Cowboys' season record to 2-3, with only one home win in their last three contests.
