West Indies cricketer Deandra Dottin collapsed before the T20 World Cup semi-final match against Australia on Tuesday night. Teammates had to carry the player off the field before the first ball was bowled. Dottin was seen in a wheelchair after leaving the medical room behind the stands.

Despite the incident, Dottin was able to take to the pitch and scored 26 runs from 16 deliveries. Her side ultimately fell short, with Australia advancing to the final.

"It was a bit scary. She's a massive fighter and someone you never see go down," West Indies captain Hayley Matthews said. "A bit of a medical emergency, but it shows how much of a fighter she is that she came back out and threw a few punches at the Aussies."

Australia captain Sophie Molineux acknowledged her team's strong performance, highlighting the contributions of Beth Mooney and Ash Gardner. Mooney scored 61 runs and Gardner added 35, both remaining unbeaten. Gardner also took two wickets in an over. Australia won the match by eight wickets.

Molineux also addressed concerns about Australian player Ellyse Perry, who left the field with quad tightness while batting. "Just some quad awareness but it sounds like she'll be more than OK to go on Sunday," Molineux stated, indicating Perry is expected to be fit for the final.

The West Indies were put in to bat and managed 7-125 in their allotted overs, with Georgia Wareham and Molineux taking two wickets each for Australia. Australia reached the target in 13 overs.
