Country Star Riley Green Fills Freezer with Bull Elk Hunt in Utah

Country music artist Riley Green has recently fulfilled his grocery needs by successfully hunting a large bull elk in the Utah mountains with a compound bow. Green shared photos of his accomplishment on Instagram, noting the challenges of bow hunting elk and expressing gratitude for the successful hunt.

Green, an established hunter with a particular passion for bow hunting, is no stranger to the outdoors. He has been a guest host for "Major League Bowhunter" and has previously documented challenging hunts, including an elk hunt in Montana. He has also spoken about the difficulty of balancing his touring schedule with the limited archery elk season.

This successful hunt adds to a notable elk season for country music artists. Luke Combs also recently tagged a bull elk during a hunting trip in Utah. While Combs initially hoped to use a bow, he ultimately used a rifle to secure his elk. Green, however, successfully completed his hunt with a bow, requiring him to get within close range of the large animal in rugged mountain terrain.

Archery hunting for elk demands significant skill and precision, as hunters must approach the several-hundred-pound animals at close distances. The process also involves the physically demanding task of packing out the meat from the mountainous terrain.
