Dallas Mavericks player Cooper Flagg left the court during Friday night's game against the Indiana Pacers after sustaining an apparent shoulder injury from a hard foul. The incident occurred in the final minute of the second quarter as Flagg was driving for a layup.
Pacers player Aaron Nesmith committed the foul as Flagg approached the basket. Flagg fell hard and remained on the floor for an extended period. Nesmith was assessed a flagrant foul. Following the foul, pushing and shoving ensued between players from both teams. Pacers assistant coach Jenny Boucek was seen intervening in the scuffle.
Flagg did not return to the game. The Mavericks maintained a substantial lead at the time of the foul, holding a 33-point advantage. Despite the close call and the subsequent altercation, the Mavericks ultimately secured a 121-108 victory. However, concerns regarding Flagg's injury may overshadow the win.
