Cole Beaudoin joined the New York Rangers organization on July 1, acquired as part of a trade that sent veteran center Vincent Trocheck to the Utah Mammoth. Beaudoin, 20, was participating in Utah's development camp when the trade occurred.

"It was crazy," Beaudoin said Friday at the start of rookie camp in Tarrytown. "I wasn't expecting it, but I'm excited now."

As one of three assets, including Sean Durzi and a 2027 third-round pick, sent to New York, Beaudoin is considered a key piece of the Rangers' strategy to enhance their prospect pool. The young center, who was selected 24th overall in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft, is expected to provide much-needed depth at the center position for the organization.
