A cleaner at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow has become an internet sensation after a video of him dancing while mopping a netball court went viral.

CJ Miller, now nicknamed 'Mop Man,' was working on center court when the Queen song 'I Want to Break Free' began playing. According to reports, Miller immediately launched into an impromptu dance routine, beginning with the splits while standing, before progressing to ballroom-style moves with his mop and a 'worm' dance across the floor. The crowd responded with cheers as he continued his performance, completing a full split and then mopping in time with the music.

Miller, who is a performer and choreographer, told Australian broadcaster 7 News that the "spirit of the music just took me away." He added that he thought "what better way to clean the netball court with a little bit of twerking going on there." He was surprised to learn his performance had gone viral, joking to reporters, "Apparently now, in the words of me, a goth, I'm a star! I think I should be asking for more money, actually. I should get my agent on the phone."

A second video has since emerged showing Miller dancing with a vacuum cleaner to the same song during a bowls event. In this instance, he abandoned the vacuum for a flip, landing in a pike position. After more moves, he quickly returned to his work as the music ended, to cheers from colleagues.

Social media has been flooded with clips of Miller's dancing. He founded and runs his own dance school, Fifth Dimension Initiative, which aims to build "resilient dancers through strength and technique education, to create the foundation for 'Movement Without Limits.'"

The Commonwealth Games features a wide range of sports, with Australia currently leading the medal table. Other events on the day included bowls, weightlifting, athletics, swimming, boxing, and cycling.
