Celtic Football Club has reached an agreement for a club-record transfer fee exceeding £11 million to sign Danish international striker Kasper Hogh from Norwegian club Bodo/Glimt.

Hogh, 25, is scheduled to arrive in Glasgow on Saturday night for a medical examination. He is expected to sign a four-year contract with an option for an additional year.

The Danish forward has been a long-term target for Celtic. During his tenure with Bodo/Glimt, Hogh scored 53 goals in 102 appearances. This transfer occurs as Japanese striker Daizen Maeda completes his £10 million move to Premier League club Ipswich Town after four seasons with Celtic.

Maeda, who represented Japan in the 2026 World Cup, had expressed his ambition to play in the Premier League. During his time at Celtic Park, he won five Premiership titles, three Scottish Cups, and two League Cups. He scored 79 goals for the club, including a significant goal in the title-deciding match against Hearts in May.

Upon signing for newly promoted Ipswich Town, Maeda stated his pride in joining the Premier League club and his excitement to realize his dream. He expressed his commitment to working hard, scoring goals, and providing assists.

Ipswich manager Gary O’Neil welcomed Maeda, noting his hard work, physical attributes, and proven goal-scoring ability. O'Neil believes Maeda will be a valuable addition to the squad.
