Celtic Football Club has announced the record transfer signing of Danish striker Kasper Hogh from Norwegian club Bodo/Glimt. Hogh has agreed to a four-year contract with the Scottish Premiership side.
Hogh's career has seen steady progression since his early days at Randers. After an injury-plagued spell and a loan to Valur in Iceland, he moved to Danish Superliga club AaB in January 2022. A year later, he transferred to Stabaek, newly promoted to the Norwegian Eliteserien.
It was at Stabaek where Hogh's career began to accelerate. The club exercised their purchase option after just six months of his year-long loan, having scored eight goals in 14 games. Within three months, he secured a pre-contract with Bodo/Glimt, joining their top-flight rivals in January 2024.
During the 2024 season, Hogh finished as Bodo/Glimt's top scorer with 12 goals, helping the team retain the Norwegian title. He also made a significant impact in the Europa League, scoring seven goals to become a joint top marksman in the competition as his team reached the semi-finals. In 2025, he again led his club in scoring with 17 goals, though Bodo/Glimt finished one point behind Viking in the league.
His recent performances included scoring twice in a 3-1 Champions League victory over Manchester City and netting another goal in a 2-1 win against Atletico Madrid.
Hogh received his first call-up to the Denmark senior squad in March and made his debut as a late substitute in a 4-0 win against North Macedonia. In his second international appearance, he scored the equalizing header in Denmark's World Cup play-off final against the Czech Republic, though the team ultimately lost the match in a penalty shootout.
