The third round of the Carabao Cup has set up several compelling ties, with Liverpool drawing Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United facing Brighton & Hove Albion. Holders Manchester City will host Norwich City.
These nine Premier League teams involved in European competitions will enter the tournament at this stage: Arsenal, Aston Villa, Bournemouth, Brighton, Crystal Palace, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, and Sunderland.
The matches are scheduled to be played across the weeks commencing September 7 and September 14, to avoid conflicts with the opening rounds of the Champions League and Europa League.
Fleetwood Town, the only remaining fourth-tier team, will play host to Sheffield United. Leeds United could face Chelsea in a later round, dependent on Chelsea's progression against Luton Town. The final two spots in the third round will be determined by matches between Chelsea and Luton, and Fulham and AFC Wimbledon.
