Caitlin Clark Shoves Rival Brianna Turner in Tense WNBA Playoff Game

Tensions flared early in Game 3 of the WNBA playoff series between the Indiana Fever and the Las Vegas Aces when Caitlin Clark shoved rival Brianna Turner. The altercation happened with 6:54 remaining in the first quarter as Turner, a former teammate of Clark's, lingered near the Fever's huddle at the center logo.

As the Fever players broke from their discussion, Clark appeared visibly angered and pushed Turner backward. Officials reviewed the play and assessed technical fouls to both Clark and Turner. Players are suspended for one game after accumulating four technical fouls. Clark had already received a technical in Game 2 for arguing a call.

The shove was the latest instance of heightened animosity between the two teams during their playoff matchup. In Game 2, Fever forward Myisha Hines-Allen was involved in a physical altercation with Aces star A'ja Wilson.

Hines-Allen was seen repeatedly shoving Wilson's arms as Wilson attempted to set a screen, before eventually grabbing her around the waist and pushing her from behind. This action drew a reaction from the Aces players who converged on Hines-Allen, while some Fever players, including Clark, appeared to applaud the physicality. Sophie Cunningham was seen gesturing to the crowd to increase the noise.

Earlier in that same Game 2, Wilson engaged in a heated exchange with a fan in the second row. The Aces superstar was seen pointing and shouting at the fan, who appeared to have directed a comment toward Wilson after a foul was called on Cunningham. Security intervened, separating Wilson and the fan, who was escorted away but later permitted to return to his seat. The Fever organization stated that arena security had spoken with the fan and witnesses and determined there was no violation of the Fan Code of Conduct, considering the matter closed.
