Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark received her seventh technical foul of the season during the team's 123-88 victory over the Connecticut Sun on Wednesday night. The foul places her one technical away from a one-game suspension.

Clark was assessed a technical late in the third quarter after jawing with the Sun's Saniya Rivers. The interaction occurred after Clark was fouled by Olivia Nelson-Ododa. Clark told reporters that Rivers said she was "locking me up," to which Clark responded, "Scoreboard," prompting the technical foul from the referee.

Clark finished the game with a double-double, scoring 27 points and dishing out 11 assists. This marks her fifth consecutive game with double-digit points. Earlier in the week, she scored 45 points in a game against the Seattle Storm.

Clark acknowledged the proximity to a suspension. "Just continue to try to control your emotions as best you can. That intensity and that fire is what makes me, me," she said, adding that she would try to find a balance and not let the potential suspension weigh on her mind during games. She recorded one technical foul over the weekend against the New York Liberty.

Clark had accumulated six technical fouls during her rookie campaign in 2024. With 17 games remaining in the regular season, she is one technical foul away from a mandated one-game ban.
