Brooks Raley earned the win in what is likely his final appearance for the New York Mets on July 30, 2026, pitching five scoreless outs against the Miami Marlins. The left-handed reliever's performance came just days before the MLB trade deadline, amidst speculation that he would be moved.

"Obviously, the next three days, we don’t know what Brooks’ destination might be, and you want to see good people who’ve given a lot to this organization have good moments," said interim manager Andy Green. "And him getting a win I thought was fitting and special as well."

Raley, who joined the Mets in 2023, has made 148 appearances for the team. He previously overcame Tommy John surgery to re-establish himself as a key reliever. Reflecting on his tenure with the team after the 4-2 victory, Raley acknowledged the possibility of his departure.

"This organization has been great to me, and hopefully we get back out there for another one in the next couple days," Raley told reporters. "But you know, it’s just the reality of it."

He added that the organization helped him develop as a player. "I thought I knew who I was as a player when I came over from Tampa. And this organization kind of embraced me."

Raley is expected to conclude his Mets career with a 2.33 ERA. This season, he has been a significant part of the bullpen alongside other trade candidates like Luke Weaver. A.J. Minter, another reliever, was traded to the Minnesota Twins shortly after Raley's postgame comments.

Raley expressed appreciation for his teammates, stating, "I love Dev and Luke and Mint and Brazo. You go down the list. I love these guys. It’s been a lot of fun to be around. Especially in a tough year, you kind of got to bond and fight for each other and cheer for one another. And I think we do a good job with that."

Raley is not expected to pitch on Friday, July 31, 2026.
