Brighton captain Maisie Symonds has signed a new contract with the club, which she described as "long-term." Symonds, who has been with Brighton for six years, expressed her happiness and feeling of being at home with the team.
"I feel I've grown so much over the last six years along with the club and the women's team," Symonds stated. She believes the team is establishing high standards and beginning to realize its potential, with a desire to continuously improve.
Symonds captained Brighton in their historic Women's FA Cup final appearance at Wembley in May, the first time the club has reached that stage. She has represented England at under-21 level and received her first senior call-up in March 2025.
Earlier this year, Brighton announced plans for a new purpose-built women's football stadium, with an estimated cost of £75-80 million, intended to be the first of its kind in Europe.
