Brewers Manager Pat Murphy Faced a Unique Challenge During Championship Parade

Milwaukee Brewers manager Pat Murphy recounted a personal endurance test he faced during the team's championship parade following their World Series victory.

"I had to pee as bad as anybody has had to pee," Murphy said during an appearance at the end of the parade route. He was speaking with Brewers play-by-play announcer Brian Anderson when he made the confession.

Murphy's admission highlights an often-unconsidered aspect of large-scale celebrations like championship parades: the significant fluid intake by participants, particularly beer, combined with extended periods without access to restrooms. The manager suggested that the sheer volume of celebratory beverages consumed after winning the World Series created an "assault on one's bladder."

When Anderson commented on Murphy's ability to hold it together, the manager quipped, "I didn't say I held it together," implying he may have come close to an accident during the procession through Cream City.

The Brewers secured their first World Series title in franchise history in the 2026 season. Subsequent celebrations included a parade and a visit to Lambeau Field, where the Commissioner's Trophy was raised during a Green Bay Packers game.
