White Sulphur Springs, W.Va. — Braxton Berrios is concentrating on securing a place on the New York Giants roster, emphasizing his dedication to football amid external attention.
Berrios, who joined the Giants after a tryout in June, is demonstrating his capabilities as a receiver with reliable hands and a shifty presence as a return specialist during training camp. He aims to contribute to a team seeking depth in these areas.
"I keep the first things first: Surprisingly, I’m pretty private, pretty low-key," Berrios said after a recent practice at The Greenbrier Resort. "It tends sometimes not to be that way, but I’m all-ball. I dream of doing this. I’ve been a ballplayer my whole life. It’s the only thing I want to do."
Berrios’ previous seasons were impacted by injuries, limiting him to a combined six catches in 10 games for the Miami Dolphins in 2024 and the Houston Texans in 2025. He is currently competing for a spot on the receiving corps, which is expected to be led by Malik Nabers, Darius Slayton, Malachi Fields, and Darnell Mooney. Berrios faces competition from other players, including Odell Beckham Jr. and JuJu Smith-Schuster.
