A violent on-field confrontation led to an indefinite suspension for Danry Vasquez in the Mexican Baseball League. The incident occurred during a game between the Toros de Tijuana and the Acereros de Monclova when Vasquez, a runner, engaged with Monclova third baseman Rodolfo Amador.
Reports indicate the brawl began in the fourth inning after Amador tagged Vasquez out on a play at third base. Following the tag, Vasquez struck Amador with a right hand to the face, then proceeded to kick him while he was on the ground. The altercation quickly escalated, clearing both benches and resulting in a large-scale brawl.
During the ensuing chaos, Monclova first baseman Ryan Hernandez intervened and appeared to deliver a clothesline to Vasquez, knocking him to the ground. According to reports, Hernandez left the ballpark in an ambulance and may have suffered a broken arm.
Vasquez and Toros pitcher Adonis Medina, along with Monclova's Ryan Hernandez and second baseman Jecksson Flores, were ejected from the game. The Mexican Baseball League subsequently announced Vasquez's indefinite suspension. Vasquez has a documented history of off-field issues, including a past arrest for domestic violence that led to his release from a Major League Baseball organization.
Vasquez previously played in affiliated minor league baseball and was also part of Venezuela's team in the Serie Del Caribe in early 2025. Images from that tournament show him celebrating home runs and batting.
