Bradley Barcola Crowned Premier League's Fastest Player

Liverpool winger Bradley Barcola has been identified as the fastest player in the Premier League this season after five games, with a top speed of 22.3mph (35.9km/h). The 24-year-old joined the Reds in August from Paris Saint-Germain for £123 million. His fastest sprint was recorded during his Liverpool debut against Ipswich Town.

Barcola's speed surpasses that of Manchester United's Bryan Mbeumo, who recorded a top speed of 22mph (35.4km/h) and narrowly missed the top spot. Following closely behind are Fulham's Gonzalo Garcia, Coventry City's Milan van Ewijk, Chelsea's Pedro Neto, Hull City's Robinho Vaz, and Newcastle's Jacob Murphy, all clocking in at 21.9mph (35.3km/h).

At the other end of the spectrum, Tottenham defender Tosin Adarabioyo is the league's slowest outfielder, with a recorded top speed of 13.3mph (21.4km/h). He is followed by Hull City's Matt Targett (14.0mph), Joe Gelhardt (14.7mph), Brighton & Hove Albion's Michael Svoboda (14.7mph), and Nottingham Forest's Nicolas Domínguez (15.0mph).

Other notable speeds in the top rankings include Bournemouth's Rayan at 21.8 mph (35.1km/h), and Newcastle winger Anthony Elanga, who despite his reputation for speed, is ranked 12th with 21.68mph (34.9km/h). This is slower than his previous season's top speed of 22.58mph (36.35km/h).

Liverpool's Alexander Isak also features in the top 20, with a top speed just 0.1mph slower than Elanga, at 21.6mph (34.9km/h). Despite recent criticism of his pace, Isak has had his best-ever start to a Premier League season, scoring four goals in five games.

Manchester City's Erling Haaland, known for his speed, also made the top 20, with a top speed of 21.5mph (34.6km/h), matching Fulham's Antonee Robinson and other players. Haaland, however, leads the scoring charts with five goals in five games, helping Manchester City maintain a perfect win record.
