Boxing Legend Jeff Fenech Hospitalized with Heart Issues
The four-weight world champion is being treated for heart problems, fatigue, and breathing difficulties, with his son-in-law, NRL player Bradman Best, sharing his concern.
Australian boxing icon Jeff Fenech has been hospitalized for heart-related issues, according to reports. The 62-year-old, a four-weight world champion, was admitted to Strathfield Private Hospital approximately 10 days ago.
Fenech reportedly experienced severe fatigue, breathing difficulties, and general unwellness. Medical professionals have removed a blood clot from his wrist and are investigating whether a past staph infection may have returned, though a recurrence has not been confirmed.
His son-in-law, National Rugby League (NRL) player Bradman Best, disclosed Fenech's condition while speaking about the boxer's influence on his career. Best is preparing for his Australian Test debut against Fiji on Sunday.
Best, who has a child with Fenech's daughter Kayla, expressed the family's concern during this health battle.
