Olympic skiing legend Bode Miller has had misdemeanor drug possession and paraphernalia charges dismissed following his June 6 arrest in Idaho. His attorney, Jeromy Stafford, confirmed the dismissal, stating that new information led the Fremont County Prosecutor's office to drop the case.

Fremont County Prosecutor Lindsey Blake stated that while the arresting deputy had probable cause at the time of the arrest, subsequent information warranted the dismissal in the interest of justice. Blake declined to provide specific details regarding this new information, citing its relation to another active case.

Miller was pulled over after another vehicle and his passenger were found to be in possession of a small amount of cannabis and a pipe, which Miller claimed he was unaware of. The arrest occurred just days before the anniversary of his daughter Emeline's death in 2018. He and his wife, Morgan Beck Miller, lost their 19-month-old daughter following an accidental drowning on June 10, 2018.
