Olympic gold medalist Bode Miller was reportedly arrested earlier this month on drug charges, according to a report by TMZ Sports.

Miller, the most successful male American alpine skier, faces one count of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges and is scheduled to appear in court on July 29. TMZ Sports reported that Miller posted a $5,000 bond and was released.

Miller made his Olympic debut at the 2002 Salt Lake City Games, earning two silver medals. He competed in the 2006 Turin Games without medaling. At the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, he won his sole gold medal in the super-combined event, along with a silver in the Super-G and a bronze in the downhill. He added another bronze in the Super-G at the 2014 Sochi Games before retiring from the sport in 2017.

Beyond his Olympic achievements, Miller secured four World Championship gold medals and 33 World Cup victories. He won the World Cup overall title in 2005 and 2008. Miller is also noted as the only skier to have achieved at least five victories in each of the sport's disciplines.
